Tanushree Dutta has been in the gym lately undergoing martial arts training from Peter Hann to prep her for her role in Sahil Khan’s upcoming action movie, Ramma –The Saviour.The movie will be filled with live animals and professional fighters from different countries like Talib from Qatar, Maow from Vietnam, and Alex from France. Here’s what Tanu had to comment,

I am scared and excited. I fear wild animals but it will be fun to shoot with them. To learn martial arts is another challenge. This role has something which I have not done so far. I wanted someone who looks sexy and dusky, but at the same time, identifies with the kids. I met up with Tanushree and she did not take long to say yes.

It sounds like this film will be a hit. It has all the makings of a blockbuster. A beautiful and voluptuous Bollywood bombshell kicking villains’ butts? Count us in!

Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty received the 10th annual Rajiv Gandhi Award in the best actors’ category. Union Energy minister Sushil Kumar Shinde conferred the honor on them. Viveik Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Tanushree Dutta, Isha Sharvani, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Koena Mitra, looking strangely like a man, were among those who regaled the audiences with their performances. Suresh Oberoi, Anupam Kher, and Kapil Dev was also present and gave away awards at the ceremony.

Tanushree Dutta while on the set of Raj Kanwar’s film Raqeeb totally surprised crew members when refusing to do a steamy scene with Jimmy Sheirgill. Tanu had said that it would damage her image in the industry. Here’s what shocked Raj Kanwar had to say:

I was surprised when Tanushree expressed her reservation about doing a hot sequence with Jimmy Sheirgill. She was perfectly okay when we shot the scene with Rahul Khanna. However, with Jimmy she put her foot down. At first, I could not understand why she was acting strange. Finally, she told me that her image would suffer. But I told her firmly that she would have to do it as the script demanded it. Later, she did a fine job of it.

Reading Raj’s comment it sounds as though they forced her into doing it. We will have to see if the steamy scene was really that intimate and if it will damage her image. We’ll keep you posted.

The music launch of a ‘Good Boy Bad Boy’ took place last Thursday in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebs were on hand including Anil Kapoor who very much resembles Wolverine from the movie X-Men.

Tanushree Dutta was contracted to appear and also sing in and for Babul Supriyo’s latest video but right before the approaching date she sent Babul a text message saying that she wouldn’t be able to make it. Tanushree is not a professional singer and perhaps the pressure got to her. This is what Tanushree had to say:

I have developed cold feet. However, I am yet to make up my mind. I have not yet gotten back to the people at Universal Music about my decision. Its one thing being a bathroom singer, but singing in the open is a frightening proposition.

It’s funny to see ‘professionals’ themselves show that butterflies in their stomach can really get to them, like anyone else. A girl as beautiful as Tanushree should have no worries or self-esteem issues whatsoever, but everyone is human.
