Just days after Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were seen canoodling on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Tashan’, Star News is reporting that Shahid and Kareena are no longer a couple. This news comes close on the heels of rumours that Kareena’s relationship with Shahid is on the rocks. However, Shahid’s close friend reveals that the actor is clueless about Saif’s closeness to Kareena as he is currently in Canada shooting for Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Tasveer’.

Kudos to Saif Ali Khan, though. He seems to have been making the most out of his bachelorhood. First Bipasha, now Kareena? What a pimp.

Globus, a fashion apparel retail chain, recently announced a 150-store expansion plan and launched Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor as its brand ambassador at a glittering function at ITC Grand Central in Mumbai.

Kareena showed up to the event in an ugly blue dress and horrendous makeup, but she still managed to look pretty. Also, the girl looks like she’s lost A LOT of weight; Shahid must really be keeping her on her toes.

Imtiaz Ali’s next starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor finally has a title: ‘Jab We Met’. This is the first time the real life couple will be playing each other’s on screen love interests. Imtiaz’s last movie, ‘Socha Na Tha’, catapulted Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia into fame. Let’s see if he can work his magic again to give both Shahid and Kareena a much needed hit.

Kareena Kapoor signed a Rs 6 crore deal with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision for three movies that will be released before 2009. This amount puts her in the running for the highest pay in Bollywood. Here’s what an industry insider had to comment about the money Kareena is raking in:

I do not know what the exact amount is, but if its true then she is getting as much as Aishwarya Rai (Rs 2 crore per film). Ash is the highest paid actress in the industry and is rumoured to have been paid Rs 2 crore for Jodha- Akbar. If Kareena has been signed for that amount, she will be one of the most expensive actresses in the industry.

Kareena is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s untitled film with Shahid Kapoor and will not have to worry about getting roles or trying to get many until 2009. She definitely just got a big break.

Shahid Kapoor was with with his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor to watch a celeb viewing of the Ahmed Khan film Fool N Final. Everyone from the cast and crew were present, but Viveik Oberoi was late and had to rush to make it in time to see the film. Vidya Malvade and Ashmit Patel were seen chatting and acting cozy together the whole time at the event. Here are some pictures:

During the filming of Firoz Nadiadwala’s Fool And Final, Shahid managed to escape a very dangerous situation. Shahid was shooting a stunt that required him to be harnessed and the pulley holding him up snapped. Here’s what a source on site had said:

It was a song sequence. There were 16 mounted pulleys and 120 men pulling up many dancers, including Shahid. Never before in the history of Indian cinema has such a dangerous and exciting dance sequence been picturised. While shooting, the left wire of Shahid’s pulley suddenly snapped. Luckily, he was not dreaming. He is very active and agile and immediately held on to the right wire of the pulley to balance himself.

Shahid also has very big fear of heights, the source explains:

The cloth had been hung so that Shahid would not feel the great height he was coming down from. Shahid has a vertigo problem and is scared of heights – just like Aamir Khan.When the cloth snapped, I almost fainted. There was a pulley holding Shahid from the top, and there was also a safety net below. I wondered how he would manage. Lekin ho gaya.

Kareena was on the phone with him the whole time and she was in tears and very scared for Shahid:

She was very scared and Ahmed kept assuring her that nothing would happen. To compound her tension, Shahid did not speak to her until the shot was okayed.

As we mentioned in a previous post, Kareena Kapoor was among Sunday’s guests on Koffee with Karan. As expected, she spoke of her dislike for many of Bollywood’s leading stars. Kareena appeared with her boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and together they bashed John Abraham. First, Kareena called John “expressionless” and then Shahid said Kareena would never work with John.

Kareena of course let her bitch side out and commented on females too. She picked on Aishwarya Rai when asked about fashion mistakes:

I think Aishwarya as she recently wore turquoise coloured boots to an event, which in my opinion is a fashion faux pas.

If that wasn’t enough she also claimed she could have done a better role in Dhoom 2 than Aishwarya. It seems as though Kareena’s head keeps getting bigger and bigger (literally and figuratively). We wonder when it will pop.

This Sunday’s Koffee with Karan (March 4th at 9 PM IST on Star One and Star World) features boyfriend and girlfriend Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor as well as Kareena’s sister Karisma. Here’s a small excerpt of what the group discussed:
