The event took place at the JW Marriott in Juhu, Mumbai on Thursday afternoon.
The first promos and posters for Pradeep Sarkar’s (of ‘Parineeta’ fame) next, ‘Laga Chunari Mein Daag’, are out. The movie stars Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kunal Kapoor and Anupam Kher, and is being released under the Yash Raj banner.
Now, is it just me or do Konkona and Mrs. Bachchan looks eerily alike in the poster? Abhishek looks ridiculous, as per usual. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a very handome man but he really needs a change in wardrobe.

Apparently all of the reports of the engagement have proved to be false! Rani’s family was furious at the allegations and had this to say:
Rani is not a home-breaker. She is not dating Aditya Chopra. If Adi is going through a rough patch in his marriage, that is his problem, not Rani’s. She shouldn’t be dragged into it.
On the Yash camp the Yashraj Films spokesperson Monica Bhattacharya said this:
It is all rubbish. There was no engagement or ”roka” ceremony the Chopra bungalow. It is their personal life and it would not be right on anybody’s part to comment on it.
This is some juicy news considering the details of the previous reports were lengthy. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next!
Rani Mukherji is now engaged to Aditya Chopra, the eldest son of Yash Chopra. On Monday, they celebrated the Roka ceremony in the presence of Yash Chopra, mother Pamela Chopra, and brother Uday Chopra. Ram Mukherji, mother Krishna Mukherji, and brother Raja Mukherji were present for Rani’s side. Divorce proceedings between Aditya Chopra and his wife Payal Khanna are just just about done and that is why the engagement has sprouted from no where. The Chopras bought a Rs 3.5 crore flat for Payal to move in after divorce and she will receive alimony when the divorce proceedings are officially done.
The Chopras, especially Pamela, was very unhappy to let Payal go out of the house. They shared a great relationship with her. If they could, they would have never allowed this to happen. But now they don’t have a choice, and are trying to compensate her in the best possible manner.
It is said that Pamela was sad to hear of the divorce with Payal. We will have to wait and see the luxurious wedding that lays ahead. We will keep you updated on a date.
Rani Mukherjee celebrated her birthday just recently with a birthday party thrown in honor by friends and family. Old schoolmates, friends, family, fans, teachers, and even neighbors were present showing Rani love and helping her celebrate. Who else has had enough of SRK’s lovey dovey hosting style. Even at the filmfare awards, which SRK hosted, SRK constantly had nothing to say to award winners besides “best wishes, may all your dreams come true, blah blah blah”. This is what happens when you choose an actor to host your award show instead of a comedian.
