The popular skin care company Olay and Vogue the prestigious fashion hosted an Exclusive Brunch at the royal Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. It was an event unleashing the new Olay Total Effects product. The Olay-Vogue brunch was attended by any of Bollywood’s top stars some including Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Shobhaa De, Arjun Rampal, Gauri Khan, Rahul Khanna, Yash and Avanti Birla, Queenie Dhody, designer Anita Dongre, and celebrity stylist Dilshad Pastakia.

Preity is been facing some difficulties while shooting for Mera Bharat Mahan. Besides suffering from a swollen foot and arm due to an injury during the shoot, Preity faced another accident. She was running barefoot while shooting a scene for the film that took place in Chandigarh, Punjab, when she had pierced the bottom of her foot on a nail that was sticking up from the ground. She was given a tetanus shot and resumed shooting shortly after. Here’s what Preity had to say:

We have been shooting here for Mera Bharat Mahan. Yesterday, while doing an outdoor scene with Salman Khan, I was running bare foot when a nail pierced the sole of my foot. At that time I did not feel the pain so much. But as the day progressed my foot got worse. I am still alive and kicking. These things do not bother me much, except that this one is hurting a lot.

Talk about a trooper. Preity is very professional even through injury and didn’t whine at all. A lot of these newer actors should take some notes.

The Apne Premiere held  at Cinema, Versova on Thursday evening was a star-studded event. It was filled with many of the big names of Bollywood. Apne is Anil Sharma’s latest release. Among those on hand included: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol,  Bobby Deol, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, and Twinkle Khanna.

At a special viewing of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Abhishek and Aishwarya were seen making a commotion and throwing coins at the movie screen each time Abhishek’s face was shown. What they did not realize was that their throws were short and were hitting the heads of everyone in the front row. Their cheering and horseplay was not appreciated even by the director Shaad Ali. He tried to calm them down to no avail. He had this to say about the situation:

After some time I felt like collecting those coins and throwing them back at Abhishek. He was too thrilled and did not realize that the coins were landing on our heads. They needed good aiming skills for the coins to land at the screen.

They sound very childish and other cast members like: Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta stayed indifferent and kept quiet while Preity Zinta joined in on the disturbance. Maybe the couple is still drunk off their marriage and taking it out on everyone else.

Preity Zinta who recently quit Jahnu Baruah’s Har Pall due because of disagreements of her character’s dialogue has agreed to feature in the film but only after Honey Irani’s dialogues were changed to her liking. All he disagreements caused a delay in the filming, creating confusion and contempt among the cast and crew, here’s what an inside source had to say:

Preity’s argument comes as a surprise especially because Honey Irani, who’s an experienced and an award-winning writer, has worked on the dialogues of the film. The sets, which were being constructed at Film City, were also put on hold during this time.

Jahnu Baruah has been doing all he can to keep the film running and making sure everyone is happy, we will have to see how everything turns out. Pretty in yellow — these pics are from her appearance at Cannes:

In the midst of Jet Airways’ revamping with promoters Shah Rukh and Shabana Azmi — it looks as though Go Air has decided also to participate in the Bollywood promotion bandwagon. Preity Zinta has been assigned as the new ambassador of Go Air. It definitely doesn’t hurt having a “preity” face as your spokesperson/ambassador. We’re sure Preity is enjoying herself — here are some pics from that night:

Suchitra Krishnamoorthy has accused Preity Zinta of being a ‘man-eater’ and blames Preity for ruining her marriage with Shekhar Kapur and saying she was ultimately responsible for their divorce in February. Suchitra had this to say:

Everything I had banked my life on, was crumbling. One time, I locked myself in a room for three weeks and kept crying constantly. I even tried to end my life. I was almost at the point of no return before self preservation and maternal instincts kicked in. If Preity thinks it’s not her and that I am wrong, she should sue me. And I will be delighted. My best friends are lawyers. I am not scared.

She seems a little distant from reality. Preity even tried mending the situation by calling Suchitra and inviting her to come visit along with her daughter, Suchitra will not even interact with Preity. It seems as though Suchitra is in a paranoid state as of now, it was also reported that she was close to committing suicide but stopped because of the thought of leaving her daughter alone. Whatever is wrong with Suchitra, she needs some help and needs to stop making it a public affair.

Ok, fine the caption is just a lie. I don’t know what question they were answering. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if the stars are fed answers before the show, to at least the first few questions, so to make sure they don’t look stupid on stage.

The picture is from last night’s Holi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by the “venerable” Shah Rukh Khan. Why is Shah Rukh, and the Big B before him, hosting mere TV shows. Are such activities not below the two? They already shoot about 23.7 movies a year. Is that not enough money?

Who else has had enough of SRK’s lovey dovey hosting style. Even at the filmfare awards, which SRK hosted, SRK constantly had nothing to say to award winners besides “best wishes, may all your dreams come true, blah blah blah”. This is what happens when you choose an actor to host your award show instead of a comedian.
