It looks like Bipasha Basu will be teaming up with Aishwarya Rai in Ben Kingsley’s upcoming film about the erection of the Taj Mahal. Aishwarya will be playing the role of Mumtaz Mahal and Bipasha as Jahan Ara Begum. Bipasha first had unofficial talks of doing the movie with Kingsley when  they came together to host the new Seven Wonders event held in Lisbon and celebrated in July this  past summer. This is great news for both these lovely actresses and Indian actors in general. We can’t wait to see the on-screen magic.

Femina, women’s largest English magazine in India launched a special issue on India’s 50 most beautiful women. The different covers feature Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra. The launch was held at the Grand Hyatt, Santacruz Mumbai, last Wednesday evening, here are some of the photos taken:

The popular skin care company Olay and Vogue the prestigious fashion hosted an Exclusive Brunch at the royal Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. It was an event unleashing the new Olay Total Effects product. The Olay-Vogue brunch was attended by any of Bollywood’s top stars some including Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Shobhaa De, Arjun Rampal, Gauri Khan, Rahul Khanna, Yash and Avanti Birla, Queenie Dhody, designer Anita Dongre, and celebrity stylist Dilshad Pastakia.

Just days after Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were seen canoodling on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Tashan’, Star News is reporting that Shahid and Kareena are no longer a couple. This news comes close on the heels of rumours that Kareena’s relationship with Shahid is on the rocks. However, Shahid’s close friend reveals that the actor is clueless about Saif’s closeness to Kareena as he is currently in Canada shooting for Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Tasveer’.

Kudos to Saif Ali Khan, though. He seems to have been making the most out of his bachelorhood. First Bipasha, now Kareena? What a pimp.

Bipasha Basu, who endorses Clinic All Clear shampoo with beau John Abraham, has been replaced by another model in the commercial because of the diificulties in her and John’s relationship — No one really knows what’s going on with them. Hindustan Lever was very aware of the problems the couple is experiencing and decided to shoot commercials of each celeb seperately. Bipasha shot hers alone, while John had other models help him out in his. A source had this to say:

Hindustan Lever did not want to portray forced chemistry between John Abraham and Bipasha Basu on screen. However hard they may try to appear in love, their chemistry will look phony and the public knows this relationship is over. Keeping all this in mind, Hindustan Lever did not want them to shoot together. They are a very image conscious company and signed John and Bips because they were a celebrity couple. 

It has also been said that Bipasha has been talking to John on the phone more and more — this is a big change from just ignoring his calls. There might be possible reconciling in their future. We’ll have to wait and see.

John Abraham is reported to be completely torn after seeing the pictures of Bipasha and Ronaldo kissing. While on the sets of Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein in Pondicherry, John kept to himself throughout the day. He didn’t talk to anyone and stayed silent. An insider on the set had this to report:

John was pretty cool and mingling with everyone on the sets till the day before evening. However, he came to know about this entire episode only after he returned to his room after pack up. When John started surfing the Net, he was shocked to see the pictures of Bipasha splashed everywhere. Obviously, Bipasha had not informed him about this whole episode. John seemed very upset and what added to his misery was that everybody knew about the incident.

Poor John. He has now lost his lovely lady. We guess karma has finally caught up to cheater John.

Portuguese Manchester United star, Christiano Ronaldo, 22, was seen lip locking with Bipasha Basu (28) at the launch of the new Seven Wonders of the World. When asked if the picture (above) is of her, she replied:

Yes it is me. The picture was taken at an opportune moment and taken out of context and again it looks like a case of irresponsible assumptions.

An insider at the event explained how the night didn’t end with only one kiss:

Cristiano and Bipasha were all over each other. If he has got a girlfriend she was the last thing on his mind. They were kissing and he was being very tender, cupping her face and staring into her eyes,

You know some where John Abraham is crying in the corner of his room and Saif Ali is cursing the gym representative that couldn’t hook him up. Bipasha is making a statement to everyone she is living it up.

Or lovers?

Bipasha has been denying any romantic inbetween her and Saif Ali Khan, but it is kind of odd that Saif would switch gyms just to work out with her. To workout with Bipasha, Saif left his gym in Andheri to go to Pali Naka in Bandra with Bipasha. A source at the gym saw the two and had this to say:

It was a surprise to see both Bipasha Basu and Saif Ali Khan at the gym. I have never seen them working out together before. They were on the treadmill in the lower level of the gym. I also bumped into Saif in the changing room.

The gym representative had a conflicting story and said this:

Saif was earlier with our Andheri branch but recently he has shifted to the Bandra branch. That day Bipasha Basu was working out at the gym, when Saif dropped in. he was around for some time and worked out with her.

Hmm… something sounds shady. We don’t see why the representative was so persistent on dismissing any romantic involvement. It looks like the two are trying to hide something from the public, while in public. That won’t last for long.

John Abraham becoming Prince has been the talk of the town. Okay, he isn’t becoming a real prince, but fans are pleading for him to star as the Prince of Persia in Micheal Bay’s Hollywood adaptation of the popular video game. The adaptation of this game, which is based around the medieval Persian Empire, is being turned into a movie and is being produced by Walt Disney. It is expected to be released in the middle of 2009. The whole campaig of ‘John For Prince’ was started by Venetia Sarll, a huge John Abraham fan. Sujoy Mukherjee, who is the webmaster of John Abraham’s site, had this to comment:

Venetia is one of John Abraham’s biggest fans. She had even met him when he was in the United Kingdom. She was quite excited about starting an online campaign to get John to act in the Prince of Persia movie.

This is recent light of him and Bipasha splitting and Bipasha getting close with Saif Ali Khan. We’ll have to see what is next on John’s plate and if he does get the role.

It seems as though the bountiful beauty Bipasha Basu wasn’t always so bountiful. She had undergone cosmetic surgery on August 17, 2002 to increase her bust size by three inches. She had the surgery done incognito with even her name not revealed to anyone except those in the clinc. She had gone to Opera House with a female friend under the alias of Susan Noodhah to have the cosmetic surgery done by a renowned surgeon. But Dr. Gupta, who performed the cosmetic surgery, claims he still hasn’t gotten paid even with it being 5 years later. He has been trying to phone her but she doesn’t return the calls. Here’s what a source from the clinic had to say:

When Bipasha Basu came to Dr Gupta for the silicone implants, she did not have a good figure. She stayed at the clinic for two days and her bust line was increased by three inches. Soon after, she started work on Jism. Dr Gupta has operated on several celebrities who come with good reference, so it’s done in good faith. In fact, more often than not Dr Gupta enters a fake name in his register so as to protect the identity of a high profile client.

Dr. Gupta is awating his Rs 2.5 lakh that is owed to him for the boob job. She also had her ears tucked back so they would no stick out so much, along with what is reported to be several other minor surgeries. With the leakage of this news we wonder if Bipasha will finally pay the doctor what he is owed, considering that it was only after she had her boob job that she got the role in Mahesh Bhatt’s Jism.
