Wow. I’m honestly totally floored by what I’m about to share with you guys. Sanjay Leela Bhansali (if you’re not familiar with his earlier work, gtfo) took Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Soonam Kapoor, under his wing and decided to make his next film with the two debutantes in leading roles. The production of this movie has been kept so tightly under wraps that no one has any idea what to expect. Now, the teaser doesn’t give away much either; it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, tease. Even then, there is no question in my mind that when ‘Saawariya’ does come out people will be flocking to the theatres to catch a showing. It looks friggin’ amazing!
The first anniversary of filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International was celebrated last week. There was a special performance by the great drummer and percussionist Shivamani. Many celebs including Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff made their entrance to the event. Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff played the lead characters Ram Lakhan in Subhash Ghai’s movie Ram Lakhan.
Sunil Lulla celebrated his birthday with a huge birthday bash, with many of celeb friends paying visit. Among those present included Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai, Neetu Chandra, David Dhawan, Bhagyashree, Deepshikha, Aadesh Srivastav, Manoj Bajpai, Neha, Anand Raj Anand, Karan Hukku, Sujoy Ghosh and others.
The Apne Premiere held at Cinema, Versova on Thursday evening was a star-studded event. It was filled with many of the big names of Bollywood. Apne is Anil Sharma’s latest release. Among those on hand included: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, and Twinkle Khanna.
Many celebs were on hand to witness the launch of Komal Nahta`s The Film Street Journal at the Taj Land End. It was filled with the likes of: Shah Rukh, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor. Lux launched a coffee table book edited and put together by Omar Qureshi called Lux - Inspiring Beauty. The launch party was a star studded event with many celebs on hand.
