We wonder what might have caused such a big distraction for Ayesha Takia, who almost got herself into a fatal accident late last week. Perhaps it was two big distractions.
Ayesha and Akshay Kumar were shooting a scene for Percept Picture Company’s film Tasveer in Calgary, Canada. Ayesha was engaged in conversation and wasn’t focused on the road as Akshay had to grab the steering wheel and swerve out the way to avoid a twenty-five foot deep pit. Akshay Kumar is a hero in film and real life. Ayesha owes a lot to his quick reaction and awareness, since they both could’ve have been seriously, if not fatally injured. We’re glad to hear everything’s okay and that film resumed as normal.
Akshay Kumar made an appearance for Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM at RA Lounge Bar in Phoenix Mills, Mumbai. He was the centre of attention as he received marriage proposals from sixteen young girls hailing from all over India. Don’t worry, no talks of divorce between Akshay and his missed Twinke…yet. It was all part of a contest in which each of the girls got 98.3 seconds to woo the hot star. Sajjid Khan was also present to promote ‘Heyy Babyy’, in which he’s making his directorial debut.
‘Heyy Babyy’, this summer’s most anticipated release, hits theatres tomorrow. The movie already has a stellar star cast (Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and Vidya Balan), and on top of that rumours of King Khan himself making an appearance have proved to be correct. Everyone, including us, were fooled by the story published by a Mumbai tabloid telling lies about a split between Akshay and his wife Twinkle. Akshay is furious with the slander and had this to say:
The article is a clear representation of careless and irresponsible journalism. The freedom of press comes with responsibilities, which seems to have been put aside to give way to shock value journalism. We have never reacted to what is written about us because we are happy in our own little world and have never felt the need to prove anything to anyone. But people are taking advantage of our silence to slander us and write things without an iota of truth, which we shall not accept anymore. Furthermore this has been done with a clear mandate to tarnish and damage our image. We are aware that we are public figures and accept and understand that we would be in constant public glare, but we definitely have an objection to baseless and incorrect stories based on a figment of imagination.
A worn out Akshay is planning to sue the tabloid. He doesn’t want his family to suffer any longer and is thinking in the best interest of his family and loved ones.
Akshay Kumar and wife of six years Twinkle have called it quits. Twinkle gave Akshay an ultimatum to either clean up his act or the marriage would be over. Apparently that didn’t work out. Twinkle is upset because of the rumors spreading that Akshay has been getting cozy with a certain Bengali actress. A source close to the former couple had this to say:
Twinkle got to know about this affair and was extremely upset about whatever was going on. She warned Akshay a couple of times, but he didn’t pay heed. She finally decided she had had enough.
Akshay who has been in any many flings with different actresses including, Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Pooja Batra and Priyanka Chopra, better learn from this huge mistake. He’s throwing away a life they had been making since 2001. Cheaters never learn and they never quit.
The Apne Premiere held at Cinema, Versova on Thursday evening was a star-studded event. It was filled with many of the big names of Bollywood. Apne is Anil Sharma’s latest release. Among those on hand included: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, and Twinkle Khanna.
In hopes of recreating the magic of Dhadkan, a film producer proposed the idea of working again alongside former lover, Akshay Kumar. Shilpa rejected the idea — wanting to strategize her next and upcoming moves. Here is what she said verbatim:
Somebody has come up with the idea of casting us together, but nothing definite has been spoken about. I have to be very careful about my moves from now on. I will be doing things that no one here has done so far.
Shilpa seems to be making all the right moves right now in her career. We think she knows what she’s doing and not pairing up with Akshay is probably a good idea. Shilpa is becoming the diva of Bollywood, not in a negative way, but she is the talk of the town and the hot item everyone wants to work with.
The Bollywood star is in a state melancholy. Just recently Akshay’s secretary of 18 years, Bali, passed away right in front of his house. Even though Namastey London is doing very well it still isn’t enough to boost his spirits. He has been out of sorts and depressed about the whole situation. Here’s what Director Vipul Shah had to say about the situation:
Akshay is an emotional person. He is a family man and is very rooted when it comes to his near and dear ones. People may make him out to be this fun-loving Casanova, but in reality he’s a sensitive, sensible and emotional guy. And an association of the last eighteen years obviously means much to him. It’s a great loss. He’s disturbed, but is coping.
We give our condolences to all parties involved. Hopefully Akshay will be able to get back on his feet soon.
Akshay is considering taking legal actions and suing the British tabloid, News of The World, because of the content the magazine posted about his and Shilpa’s past. The tabloid’s header was bold and mischievous and is most likely what sent Akshay off, proclaiming: I was first to bed Shilpa.
The tabloid also mentioned how Shilpa was a very innocent girl before meeting Akshay and after their involvement the tabloid reported that Akshay had this to say:
Her prim and proper nature soon disappeared in the heat of the moment. She sounded pretty crazy when it came to sex. I think she thought that she was going to marry him and she would never have slept with a man if she thought he was not serious.
Akshay seems pretty upset over what was printed, it also seems he might have said a little too much and is now suffering the consequences. Here’s what he had to say about what the tabloid printed and his further actions:
I will never talk about a lady in these terms, this is totally baseless, I have never spoken to the said newspaper and I will seek legal recourse.
Shilpa Shetty will be participating in the London Marathon next month. The track is a 26.2 mile tour through the streets of London. Shilpa’s ‘good friend’ Jane Goody will also be participating in the marathon. Here’s what Shilpa had to say about the race (because she of course she has too much class to even mention anything about Janey):
I’m excited but also nervous. I keep fit with dancing and working out but this is a big test. The Pimlico girls have been helping me with training. They’ll want me to fix drains next!
In other Shilpa news: Akshay Kumar has been pursued by a British tabloid offering him 40,000 pounds to leak anything out about his past relationship with Miss Shilpa Shetty. This is all stemming from a tabloid reporting that on a flight in which the two were together, Akshay was ‘chasing’ after Shilpa. Shilpa has denied the allegations labeling them as a frabricated story. She did say that they were on a flight together, but Twinkle (Akshay’s wife) was there as well. Here’s what Akshay had to say about the situation:
I have never spoken about Shilpa and no amount of money will change that. Even if she has said something or will say anything about me in future, I will not retaliate. A gentleman never reacts.
