Dress designer Manish Malhotra blew the audience away with his interpretation of the free spirit Woman in his collection entitled, La Belle Epoch - Winter ‘07.Lakme models Indrani, Amrit, Vipasha and Raima wore the creations and posed for the photographers. The showcase took place at Taj President, in Colaba, Mumbai, on Thursday afternoon.

Malaika Arora Khan lit up the ramp in a Deepika Gehani along with Dippanita Sharma and Anupama Verma’s amazing fundraising fashion show event organized by CHIP (Children in pain), a registered non-profit making NGO. Celebrities included Ranjeet and Sunil and Radhika Lulla of Eros, Anupama Verma, Dippanita Sharma, Shaan, Raju Shrivastav, Deepika Gehani, Om Puri, Anup Jalota, Salil and Nikhil Chaturvedi, Viren Shah and others  were present at the event.Singer Shaan Mukherjee performed live along with comedianRaju Shrivastav . The show took plce at the JW Marriott in Juhu Mumbai, on Thursday night.

Socialite Devika Bhojwani hosted her annual fashion show event promoting awareness for breast cancer and raising funds for the cause at hand. Celebs like Neha Dhupia, Pooja Bedi, Gul Panag were all present at the event. Everyone was draped in some pink and pinned with the pink ribbon commemorating the fight against breast cancer. Designer Roopa Vohra showcased her collection on the ramp. The fundraiser was held at The Club, in Andheri on Tuesday night.

Anil Kapoor’s beautiful daughter Sonam unveiled the beautiful hair gallery by Dove with the help of Femina at the Salt Water Grill on Charni Road, Mumbai, Friday evening. Soonam will be in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Saawariya opposite of Ranbir Kapoor. She had the help of celebrities including Aarti Chhabria, Nisha Jamval, and Anjali Bhagat who all were present enjoying the event.

LYCRA brand and MTV were on the hunt to find India’s next generation of models for the LYCRA MTV Style Awards of 2007. Neha Dhupia and supermodel Sheetal Malhar were on hand serving as judges to pick and weed out the best and worst contestants. When asked type of person is being pursued Neha Dhupia said,

We are not only looking for stunning bodies, gorgeous faces and phenomenal skin but also attractive personalities, the right attitude and lots of style… something the participants in Mumbai proved they have plenty of.

It looks like Bipasha Basu will be teaming up with Aishwarya Rai in Ben Kingsley’s upcoming film about the erection of the Taj Mahal. Aishwarya will be playing the role of Mumtaz Mahal and Bipasha as Jahan Ara Begum. Bipasha first had unofficial talks of doing the movie with Kingsley when  they came together to host the new Seven Wonders event held in Lisbon and celebrated in July this  past summer. This is great news for both these lovely actresses and Indian actors in general. We can’t wait to see the on-screen magic.

Salman Khan received the honor of being the fourth Indian actor to be featured at the Madame Tussuad’s wax museum in London. Salman did what no one expected by turning the prestigious offer having a wax replica of him displayed at the gallery down. Before Salman, only Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan, among all other Bollywood stars, have gotten this honor. Salman who is currently shooting in Austria for Subhash Ghai’s forthcoming film Yuvraj was not available for comment. However his business manager, Vikas Kapoor, has confirmed the news saying,

Yes, Salman has refused the Madame Tussuads offer. He does not want his wax statue to be displayed at the Madame Tussauds as he is not interested in it. Though it is considered as a big honor for people who are selected for Madame Tussuads, Salman considers his fan following as his biggest honor.

Perhaps Salman is taking a page out of Amir Khan’s book of being difficult and fickle.
