Globus, a fashion apparel retail chain, recently announced a 150-store expansion plan and launched Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor as its brand ambassador at a glittering function at ITC Grand Central in Mumbai.

Kareena showed up to the event in an ugly blue dress and horrendous makeup, but she still managed to look pretty. Also, the girl looks like she’s lost A LOT of weight; Shahid must really be keeping her on her toes.

Kangana Ranaut, Malaika Arora Khan with sister Amrita Arora, and actress Shamita Shetty were among the many famous faces that attended the Red Light Disc bash in Mumbai last night.

Kashmira is known for being the raunchy item girl with a tight body and, recently, for being part of one of the teams in the reality tv show ‘Nach Baliye 3′. After being sentenced to six years in prison on July 31st for possession of arms (Salman Khan killed a dude and got nothing!), Sanjay Dutt has been released on bail on the ground that the Mumbai court that convicted him has not yet provided him with a copy of his sentence.

However, the star will have to return behind bars once that technicality has been fulfilled.

Hopefully Sanju’s lawyers can work something out in the meantime; we want him out and about ASAP so that he can start shooting for Munna Bhai Chale America!

Akshay Kumar made an appearance for Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM at RA Lounge Bar in Phoenix Mills, Mumbai. He was the centre of attention as he received marriage proposals from sixteen young girls hailing from all over India. Don’t worry, no talks of divorce between Akshay and his missed Twinke…yet. It was all part of a contest in which each of the girls got 98.3 seconds to woo the hot star. Sajjid Khan was also present to promote ‘Heyy Babyy’, in which he’s making his directorial debut.

Wow. I’m honestly totally floored by what I’m about to share with you guys. Sanjay Leela Bhansali (if you’re not familiar with his earlier work, gtfo) took Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Soonam Kapoor, under his wing and decided to make his next film with the two debutantes in leading roles. The production of this movie has been kept so tightly under wraps that no one has any idea what to expect. Now, the teaser doesn’t give away much either; it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, tease. Even then, there is no question in my mind that when ‘Saawariya’ does come out people will be flocking to the theatres to catch a showing. It looks friggin’ amazing!

Well, this is news to me but Aishwarya Rai has been paired opposite Steve Martin in the sequel to ‘The Pink Panther’, which will be releasing in 2009. Aishwarya Rai was spotted taken a stroll with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan, while on a break from shooting in Paris.

Bollywood’s hottest choreographer Farah Khan’s directorial debut in ‘Main Hoon Na’ was a huge success. Everyone has since there been speculating on what she would do with her next movie. The title was announced a couple of months ago to be ‘Om Shanti Om’ and Shah Rukh Khan confirmed as the lead actor. Model turned actress, Deepika Padukone, and Ritesh Deshmukh have since had their names attached to the production as well.

Now, after months of waiting, the trailer has finally been released.

It looks…interesting.

‘Heyy Babyy’, this summer’s most anticipated release, hits theatres tomorrow. The movie already has a stellar star cast (Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and Vidya Balan), and on top of that rumours of King Khan himself making an appearance have proved to be correct. Imtiaz Ali’s next starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor finally has a title: ‘Jab We Met’. This is the first time the real life couple will be playing each other’s on screen love interests. Imtiaz’s last movie, ‘Socha Na Tha’, catapulted Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia into fame. Let’s see if he can work his magic again to give both Shahid and Kareena a much needed hit.
