Rani Mukherjee celebrated her birthday just recently with a birthday party thrown in honor by friends and family. Old schoolmates, friends, family, fans, teachers, and even neighbors were present showing Rani love and helping her celebrate. They watched clips of old movies and opened up presents with Rani and even insisting that she finish the big chocolate birthday cake all by herself. Here are some pictures from the event:

At the Vie Lounge in Juhu, Priyanka Chopra was the main presenter unveiling the new Terence Lewis Calendar. Looks like an easy-going event where Priyanka got to let loose, have fun, and even cut a little rug. Here are some pictures from the event:

Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra were the presenters at Tag Heuer’s launch party, celebrating the release of the new F1 Series. Shah Rukh and Priyanka handed out watches and trophies to different celebrities commemorating their achievements in their individual fields. Shahrukh and Priyanka also joined in on the fun and participated along with models in a runway fashion show.

Ashley Judd, Youth Aids Ambassador, visited Mumbai to promote awareness about HIV and AIDS. The United States Consulate General and the Mumbai and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) hosted the ‘AIDS Free India’ event on the U.S. Consulate Lawns in Mumbai, last Thursday. There were many people there bringing attention to this cause, including many government officials and Bollywood stars.

While on set for Vivek Agnihotri’s movie ‘Goal’ Bipasha Basu threw a hissy fit and stormed off set because Arshad Warsi was two hours late to film. Even after Warsi arrived Bipasha refused to come back and shooting for the day was cancelled. A source close to Bipasha admitted that:

Bipasha is very punctual and always reaches the sets on time, with her hair and make up ready for the shot. Recently, Arshad arrived two hours late. The entire crew which comprises renowned football trainers and camera crew from U.K. were also waiting for Arshad to arrive. Finally, Bipasha lost her temper. She stormed off the sets and although Arshad arrived soon afterwards, Bipasha refused to shoot that day. Finally, the director Vivek Agnihotri had to call off the shoot.

Swollen pride might not be limited just to Bipasha. Apparently due to the success of his recent movies, Arshad Warsi has decided that he is the most crucial to the filming of a Bollywood movie; more than the actors and the director. Arshad’s thought process is that if everyone has to wait on him that is just a sacrifice they’ll have to make in order to have his contribution in creating a hit film.

We previously posted that Amitabh threatened to not work unless given a Presidential suite but now an associate of Amitabh Bachchan is saying the stories circulating about Amitabh are false:

Without the least fuss he quietly took an ordinary suite with an interconnecting room for his valet Pravin, who needs to be with him to give his food, medicines and so on, on time. And his makeup man is not staying at the same hotel. He’s been put up in a much less expensive hotel.

Apparently Amitabh didn’t even move into the suite after it was cleaned out and gave the suite to Preity Zinta:

She arrived in Kolkata for her second schedule. By then the presidential suite was vacant, and we asked Amitabh if he’d like to move into it. He said he was comfortable where he was, so Preity was given the presidential suite.

Either Amitabh has a reporter who is hating on him or someone is lying. It seems more the former than the latter, especially after director Rituparno Ghosh said only good things about Big B:

Far from making demands Amit-da is the epitome of cooperation. I’ve never seen such fierce dedication and passion in anyone. I wish every actor in this country would learn the meaning of commitment and dedication from him. After ‘The Last Lear’, I want to make at least a dozen films with him.

After her year long hiatus Kareena is back and with a new song. It is in Lovely Singh’s movie ‘Kya Love Story Hai’. Kareena decided to take a break last year because she said that she was tired of working continually. During her year away from the Bollywood limelight Kareena has been trying new things in her life. She has turned vegetarian, began practicing Yoga, and has traveled exclusively with Shahid Kapur all around the world.

It said Kareena is looking much slimmer, but i am skeptical. We will see her new toned self when she starts shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s film, with her significant other, Shahid Kapur. What really struck me is that Kareena did not charge any money to do the song. Maybe she’s finally realizing how much of B**** she has been and has decided to soften up her image. Either way, i hope she continues her good manners and really works on losing some of that weight in her arms: See Here.

As was mentioned earlier Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol are really get tired of each other’s company (to put it nicely) and they really displayed their dislike at the Just Married media meet at the Atria Mall in Mumbai. The two kept away from one another and didn’t exchange a word the whole time there.

The meet was designed for cast and crew to interact with different media groups and to talk about and promote the upcoming film. Fardeen and Esha really are showing that they don’t really care for each other — could something have happened behind closed doors that no one knows about except them? Hmmm.. seems likely.
